I doubt any of you do not know what happened upon that fateful day. Blessings.
Today my brother was kicked out of his Chinese class. The other parents complained about him laughing randomly and once, throwing things. (Note that often Autistics do not laugh because they are happy. Often it is a release of anxiety.) I'm not too happy at his behavior, but I feel sad because he didn't understand what he was doing was bad and he did try to participate appropriatly, such as in raising his hand. He'll be switched to another class.
In any case, afterwards I redid the lesson at home. He's only doing numbers, but to my horror, I found he did not recognize the Chinese characters as words. Now I am not surprised about his behavior. If I took a 2 hr. class in foreign language, all conducted in that language without any understanding of the procedures, I daresay my behavior wouldn't be too good either, though a bit less eratic then my brother's.
